What is it that you really want in life?

I don’t mean what do you need to GET to where you want to be (like money, a job, a business, your own products, etc…), but what do you really, really want?

Chances are that you have a feeling or an image of the “ideal” life in your head, but that you have buried that deep inside of you while you struggle through day-to-day life.

It could be living by the beach or inserting some more luxury and freedom in your life.

When I set out writing an ebook for the first time back in 2000 I had one thing on my mind – control.

I had been through some odd shit that implanted the belief in my head – I would no longer be dependent on anyone else for my own and my family’s security. 

Specifically, my goals behind writing an ebook were:

• To take back control over my own talents, energy, creativity and effort – I knew I could work smarter and get better results than many of the companies I worked for, so my committment to myself was to make sure the vehicle I chose allowed me to take back this control
• As of 2000 and beyond (Remember Buzz LightYear’s Infinity and Beyond!) my goal was to work less, have MUCH more fun and do more of the things I really enjoyed like travel, hang out in warmer climates, meet some really fun and cool people and generally loosen up.  Writing an ebook was a way to not only make more money that would help achieve these goals, but also completely change the type of people I was able to hang with, and let me help a good many people – and that has made some incredible lasting friendships
• This one is a little hard to explain – but if you understand what leverage means, then you will understand what I mean.  Just as a song writer writes his song once and earns royalties from it for life – I wanted to create products that not only paid me for a few weeks, or even a few months.  I wanted products that continued to pay me for years to come so that – over time – I coud have several of these “passive income generators” working away in the background as I got to try new things and have more fun. 

Now, everyone has their own reasons and I would never claim to have a handle on yours.
