For most people the biggest obstacle to writing a book that they have dreamed about for years is finding the time.

After all…we get up at 7AM, have kids to get off to school, things that need to be done around the house, a job to work at and if we’re lucky we role in about 6PM focusing on getting dinner out of the way, the kids homework done for the next day and if we are REALLY lucky, we find 30-minutes to sit down and relax before we do it all again – is that about right?

So, in this crazy daily schedule, how do you fit your dream of writing a book into that mess?

When I was putting together my first ebook back in 2000, I remember stealing 15-minutes here, 30-minutes there until my book writing was done.

What amazes me now is how much spare time you can find in your day when you really set your goal and obsessively work toward achieving the goal of writing a book.

I remember working in local coffee shops that offered free internet access and heading into work 20-minutes late, then striking out again at noon (on the days I could get away).  I made a deal with my wife that my “night out” was the local Starbucks where I would write 10-15 pages in about an hour.

Then there were the times I would skip out of work early or take an hour on the weekend and head to a park where I opened by laptop and put fingers to typing – writing a book at the park.

Here’s a cute story that took me back to those times about a 40-year old mother who put her book together in mostly in the car – that’s exactly the type of obsession you need to make your book writing project to ensure you get it done.

The good news is that the entire process  -at least for non-fiction, “how t0” top selling books, ebooks and info products can be done in less than 30-days as we outline in the highly effective Information Entrepreneur’s Success Package.

Since that first ebook, we have developed 11 other information products from ebooks, self-published books through reports, membership sites and training programs shipped on DVD and manuals.

In each case, we optimized the system taking less time to put together our products, learning the in’s and out’s about creating products with higher perceived value so that we could charge more (MUCH more) and really turn our writing into full-fledge information publishing — we share these techniques and strategies throughout the lessons in the Ultimate Guidebook.

Rest assured, mix the strategies, tips, techniques and lessons from our Guidebook with the passion and obsession of write a book anywhere and you WILL succeed in your quest to make a very comfortable and successful life from writing.

If you have any stories to share about any of your writing projects, leave us a comment, we (and our readers) would love to hear them.

Now, get out into your car and let’s get writing!
