How do you kick off the work week?

Spending hours getting caught up on your email?

Heading back to that job or business where you know you’re in for more of the same old thing this week?

Thinking of Friday – even though you haven’t even gotten through the first day of the week yet?

Monday’s may suck, but I’ve learned to look at Monday’s as the BEST day of the week because it is the day I get a jump start on my online business.

My weekends are for my family – that’s always been the case and always will be as long as I have anything to say about it. As my week goes on I dedicate more and more time to building my business – that includes product development, customer support, networking, marketing, and setting strategy for the coming weeks and months.

I’m like anyone else, even though I love what I do, I get tired as the week goes on – so Monday is my day to shine.  It’s the first day of the week that I make sure I dedicate extra effort to getting a jump-start on the week.

Here’s my typical Monday, how about your’s?

1. Wake up by 6:00 AM, have a good breakfast, quick scan of the daily news, get my kid’s breakfasts setup and I head out early to the local coffee shop where I can concentrate on product development. That could mean mastering an audio, producing a video, or writing ebooks, reports or presentations.  Today, its putting the finishing touches on a new ebook I’m finishing titled “Achieving Greatness” – more on that in the coming days.

2. I make sure to spend the majority of my Monday’s on product development.  If I don’t do this, I get caught up in 100 other tasks through the week and end the week frustrated because I’ve not progressed on the one single task that leads to the most financial and personal reward for me – releasing new information products.

3. I also reserve Monday evenings for a full slate of work – sometimes that means recording a teleseminar, putting the finishing touches on content for my membership site, or more writing.

A great deal of my success over the last few years writing and publishing information products can be attributed to starting Monday off strong.

No matter what your situation, try and squeeze some extra minutes or hours out of your Monday to spend on the important task of writing your own book, ebook or creating your own information products – before the rest of the week catches up to you.
