Alright, so you may grizzle at the very word "guru" but it’s hard to deny that you would like to rise to the top of your market. Guru’s are able to command higher prices, more respect, visibility and fame…call it what you like, it’s what most entrepreneur’s strive for.
Guru’s get…
1. Top price for their products and services
2. Fame and celebrity for being at the top of the mountain
3. Influence to cut extra special partnerships and jv deals
4. Get to network with other guru’s and climb even higher
5. Earn the really big cash
6. Tons of free publicity and a never-ending supply of leads and customers
But…nobody is born a guru, it doesn’t happen by accident and most guru’s aren’t there for their amazing talent, skill, education or even social skills leading you to ask…
How do they do it?
The plain fact is that if you follow the steps outlined in The Ultimate Information Entrepreneur’s Success Package and create your own information products to sell online…you’ll notice that we outline a system for developing your niche market, concept and business so you have maximum ability to become the "guru" of your market.
From that system, here are…
3 Steps To Becoming A Guru…
1. Gain applied knowledge about your topic…that means try things, test them, experience them first-hand, you will have gained an advantage on 90% of the others who base their opinions on second-hand or third-hand information. Guru’s rise to the top almost entirely because they are action oriented, willing to try things when others merely read, learn or think about doing them. Practical, hands-on knowledge is rare which makes it valuable.
2. Apply your knowledge to solving a specific desire or challenge. General knowledge about a topic is not as valuable as knowledge designed to achieve a specific, highly anticipated, emotional, desparate desire.
For instance, understand the steps involved in reducing stress in people’s lives AND you’ve tested them to find out which one’s work best (applied knowledge from #1 above), what would really put it over the top is to apply that knowledge to a specific sub-niche who really desire your stress buster system — say senior executives, law enforcement officials, athletes, etc…
In other words, you tailor the system for a specific audience or audiences who really desire the end result (to be stress free, happier and healthier).
To really solidify your gurudom, PROVE IT!
In other words, apply your system to others, prove they get results, turn them into case studies and begin to count the hours until you can call yourself a guru.
3. Network and persuade other top trusted names to be partners and have them all distribute your message for you through blogging tactics, social networking and your own JV/affiliate programs. You can do #1 and #2 correctly, but if nobody knows you have the killer system for achieving X based on your own experience and testing…then you can’t be a guru can you? If a tree falls in the forest will anybody hear…? You get the idea.
Now you have the applied knowledge focused on a sub-niche you can call your own with strong partner backing to get your message out in a big way.
Finally, it helps if you go up-market…anyone guess what that means?
