Your reaching the end of your product development, putting the final touches on your website ready to hit the market with your own killer product when…DAMN…I need some bonuses.
It’s often an afterthought – and I’ll be the first to admit I often don’t think about bonuses early enough in the development process…that’s one of the reasons we put together the 45-day Information Product Profits Course over at InfoMarketerszone.
YES…bonuses still work and will enhance your response substantially so you do have to pay close attention.
But, the mistake that is so tempting to make is to throw together some crappy resell rights or Private Label Rights products into the mix and call it a day…then wonder why nobody is taking you up on your offer.
A poor choice of bonuses can be WORSE than offering no bonuses at all because they taint the original product you have, make you look like a hack and will eliminate any credibility you have previously been able to attain.
Forget trying to lump in a bunch of crappy PLR products, get creative and make your own bonuses.
There are lots of other ways to quickly come up with valuable, useful bonuses that enhance your overall offering rather than putting it in jeopardy.
1. Film a quick screen capture video of you actually using or applying the information you are supplying to your customers. Customers LOVE to see how knowledge and information is actually used to accomplish certain things in their business.
2. Review the product and tell them how it has benefited you – run your own case study to show them exactly how this information is used in your business.
3. Create a summary checklist from what is taught in the product – everyone is busy and like to see a checklist to follow rather than having to go and read 100 pages each time or review hours of video.
4. Create a 5-10 page report on a topic related to the product you are offering. For instance, we offer a package on Yoga, we put together a quick-step guide to meditation as an extra bonus knowing that many people who practice one are interested in the other.
Don’t give in to the temptation to throw in crappy bonuses just because you feel you need bonuses..take an extra couple of days to create your own highly relevant bonuses with a high perceived value.
