When it comes to information marketing or affiliate marketing, how much profit you make depends mainly on how well you have chosen your niche.
Some topics and sub-niches for e-books, courses, reports or membership sites attract visitors and turn them into buyers at incredibly high rates. That ALL comes down to the niche.Â
Â
We all know that you should stick to some of the big ones, right?
- Weight loss
- Health & Wellness
- Relationships
- Business (selling, marketing, negotiating, etc…)
- Personal improvement
- Hobbies
But…within these very competitive niches there are Millions of potential sub-niches and topics – how do you find the needle in the haystack?
Â
In the 6 Week InfoProduct Products System Inside InfoMarketer’sZone we train on each of these areas, but here are some powerful pointers for you:
Â
1. Look at what is already selling…You may have heard this before, but stay with me…I want you to do something a little different.
When you look at a directory like Amazon, Clickbank, Commission Junction or other information product ranking lists you not only get information about WHAT but more importantly – WHY?.Â
In other words, what is the problem in their mind they want to solve.Â
Here’s a simple example…instead of losing weight, getting fit, etc…it was that they wanted to “lose belly fat” . So a product that targets specific weight loss aimed at belly fat is the winner and THAT dictates how deep you go into the niche.
Â
2. You do the same thing with magazines – look for consistent magazine titles to understand specifically what sub-niches within your niche are being most targeted and what is the WHY behind those articles being popular?
Â
3. Next – dig into keyword analysis around these sub-niches, refine the keywords that people are searching the most around these sub-niches and then…You can either use the free Google Keyword Tool or something like this one I use all of the time,
Â
4. Put some content out there to guage demand…blog posts, articles, videos, etc…Â
Â
Now, you may think “wow, this takes a lot of time!” But really no.Â
Â
First, it can only take a few weeks (time well spent to better direct your product creation efforts) and
Second, you can do this in a way where you begin to generate traffic, followers and subscribers which you can then tap into as you develop and launch your infoproduct.Â
Â
There is nothing better than releasing your own infoproduct and seeing the orders flood in…this formula has worked for us 12-times now. It can work for you too.
