I was asked this evening by one of our Information Marketer’sZone members about the viability of building their online business around reselling Clickbank ebooks and training products.
For those of you thinking about marketing how-to information, expertise, training, programs, seminars, etc… I know that many consider marketing other people’s products (Clickbank, Amazon, Commission Junction, etc…) versus their own. Think of it this way…
You can certainly start by selling other people’s solutions as you learn the internet marketing ropes, but you ideally want to have your own products with that business model.
Which is most appealing —
You reselling a Clickbank product for 45% commission that may be taken off the market and that competes with 100’s or 1000’s of others marketing the same product while you help brand the product creator OR —
You creating your own product and being the product owner getting 50-60% while 100’s or 1000’s of others market and sell it for you….while your brand is being built on auto-pilot?
I can tell you with absolute certainty, the Millionaires I know are product creators, publishers, teachers and experts…they are not resellers or others who simply sell other people’s products.
The only true way to build your brand, equity, top line revenue and bottom line profits is by building a business that is based on your own products.
If that premise scares you, it shouldn’t!
There are many things more challenging in life than coming up with your own digital information product.
All that it requires is you follow a template (outlined inside InfoMarketer’sZone for those of you who are ready to get started right away), do some basic research into your market, understand the business model and how to market information…from there your business will really take on a life of its own.
Your start with a basic product such as a report, ebook, udemy course, or simple talk/webinar/seminar will blossom naturally into several more product opportunities allowing you to turn your single product business into a thriving Enterprise that grows in terms of revenue, scale and profit.
Make it a priority in your life to begin teaching, sharing and helping your market – you won’t find a more fulfilling or lucrative opportunity to build your own, independent online income stream out there.
