I’m guessing you have imagined many good things happening as a result of you actually sitting down and writing a book you can be proud of…

You become famous, or at least well know.

After you write a book, you can relax and watch the money roll in.

Suddenly, you become a leader within your marketplace – the expert. You are the one with all of the answers.

Now, I’m guessing that never in your wildest imagination did you consider that writing a book – or focusing on any creative endeavor could lighten your load on the scales.

After the Zone Diet, Atkins and dozens of others comes the Writing Diet!

Over at Trashionista, Victoria covers the book industry like no other – that’s where a review of a new book led me to understand the connection between writing a book and weight loss.

According to Victoria…

The book has sprung from the fact that Cameron has noticed over the years that whenever her students tap into their creativity, they also lose weight. So in this book, "Cameron illuminates the relationship between creativity and eating to reveal a crucial equation: creativity can block overeating."

Well…I have to tell you I’m more than a little skeptical, but I do believe that if you are working on something where you get lost in a passion, interest or end goal it DOES keep you from looking for diversions that make up the craving we all have to "eat for comfort".

So, there may be something to this theory of writing a book helps you lose weight – especially for those of you who are reading this as a means to live your passion for writing as a living.

At least that’s what I’m going to tell myself when I sit down later tonight to write my next chapter — and no, I likely won’t have time for snacking tonight. Look…it’s already working.
