This folks, is entrepreneurship at its finest!
I have to admit, the office you see below is not usually THIS out of
control, but lately I’ve been doing a combination of recording
interviews, recording music, writing my latest ebook, shooting videos,
and well – another 3 or 4 hundred other tasks, of course in between
rounds of video games the kids decide they want to play on my main
computer (even though they have their own!).
Seriously though – show me an office that is too organized, and I’ll
show you someone who spends 90% of their time on the wrong tasks (
cleaning up their desk instead of creating products or sending out
their latest marketing campaign.)
You may notice the material up against the back wall – that’s not just
my bad taste in decorating – but is something called painted muslin,
a backdrop for the videos I am currently shooting.
Ever since coming across Bill Myers fantastic product creation site
over a year ago – I’ve been hooked on moving between written products
and creating my own video products – he makes the whole exercise so
simple and fun.

A certain amount of organization is required just to function – yes!
But, does your office look busy?
If we took a look today, does it show signs of active WORKING going on?
Is their evidence that you are spending time on the really valuable
tasks, not just administration or surfing?
Something to think about isn’t it?
