I find it such a shame that so many people are carrying multiple books worth of knowledge, creativity and experience around inside of them, but mainly because they fear chasing traditional book publishers – they never act on their desires.

True enough, the prospect of being one in thousands that actually get their book published and facing incident after incident of being rejected, forgotten, passed over and outright manipulated is enough to make any aspiring author run for the hills, but there are alternatives.

Over at Information Marketer’s Zone we help entrepreneurs, professionals and anyone who wants to write their own book build their own information publishing enterprise – the self-published ways offering a niche market a range of informational products and services that can be far more lucrative than any publishing contract.

Another approach is to look for a smaller publishing house that may synch up with your way of thinking a little more.

For example, web design and content publisher Paul Boag has been considering writing his own book on web design – and has chosen a smaller publisher Manning Publications that takes a different approach to publishing – a much more collaborative approach.

Granted, this is a very highly focused publisher for technical books and use a novel approach to working up the manuscript based on a collaborative team – a perfect option if you are willing to work that way, and why not?

Don’t give up on your book writing dreams because of fear of the publishing process -there are many alternatives, so get working your idea up now, then take your idea to your market through alternative publishers or even direct via your own marketing efforts.
