For all of you book publishing seekers out there, do these words mean anything to you?
A tall, half-caf, extra hot, double-shot cafe latte!
Starbucks took coffee uptown and in doing so gave it a whole new vocabulary that is now part of the daily vocabulary for Millions of caffeine addicted zombines.
Now, what will their approach be to self-publishing?
Its been reported by BusinessWeek that Starbucks will once again enter the book publishing game by publishing a children’s book – as a first trial.
Once can only imagine what sort of terminology they may come up with re-defining the publishing industry – but you can bet there will be a cutesy, personalized higher cost element to their offering.
There certainly seems to be a strong appetite emerging for anyone to be able to cost-effectively produce their own books – even if they are only for friends and family, keepsakes, a short-term marketing campaign, a special occasion, etc…
The dream of writing your own book became a very achievable reality with the advent of eBooks – as many are experiencing over at the Information Marketer’s Zone – now being able to get your book published by the local coffee shop will just bring that reality closer.
Bottom line, everyone has content to share, with the right focus, your experiences and knowledge can become a top selling e-book, book or information product almost instantly – the technology is here, all you need to do is get your information down.
