This one is particularly aimed at all of us clueless Dad’s out there that flounder around trying to raise our children so they have the benefit of NOT making many of the mistakes we made when we were young.

We don’t talk about parenting all that much, but do worry about it allot – carry around a fair amount of guilt with us too, but it’s not manly to discuss it around work or with the guys on your golfing weekend.

Voila – what a perfect book topic and indeed, David George was smart enough to see a top selling book topic targeted at fathers who wanted everday advice on bringing up their children – everything from financial planning, to understanding the limits on individuality to driving a minivan  – serious topics presented in clear and concise way from someone who’s been there.

You can read a quick interview with him here.

Please know this – David was NOT a writer, but found an opportunity write in front of his face that he took action and turned into his own successful book.

We have information entrepreneurs (my term for self-published ebook and book writers that turn demand for information into hot selling "informational" or "how to" products) doing the exact same thing all the time over at Information Marketer’s Zone

What else have you experienced where you either worked hard to find answers to your questions or would have liked to have learned from someone before you?

How about packaging information products, writing an ebook or developing courses on…

  • Buying your first home
  • Knowing when to get married
  • Understanding how much to teach your baby and how
  • Hearing from others who have radically changed careers
  • Help with direction for college and university parents/students
  • Assistance with balancing job and family

Book and ebook topics are all around you – the more obvious the better chance you have a successful book idea right in front of you to take advantage of.

So, get busy, turn everday issues, challenges and opportunities into great topics for your first or next book.
