What happens when you have partial knowledge about a niche topic, does this give you enough to go out and create your own niche information product?
For example, assume you have found a solution to a health problem that is widespread, often mis-diagnosed and fairly debilitating, but you don’t feel confident enough that your solution will work for everyone and you are certainly not a health expert? Should you still pursue this niche market?
Same thing could be said of anyone in any niche market – you could have partial knowledge, limited experience or simply a passion, does that give you enough to create your own information marketing business?
Let’s stay with the health niche for just a minute.
Having personal experience, something of strength and a passion for a given area is a very important part of being successful with your infoproduct business.
Assuming you have to know everything or be an accredited professional is going too far, instead think of yourself as a journalist who is unveiling the truth about a certain topic.
Ask any of our members over at InfoMarketersZone, they will tell you that the journalistic approach to creating niche infoproducts is a major part of increasing your income with your own products.
Yes, that involves your personal experiences, but it also involves bringing out other research and experiences, something as an information proudct publisher you should be very enthusiastic about doing.
For example, in the case of having overcome a health problem, you could…
1. Put together a set of symptoms that would indicate that you have a certain health condition. More than half the battle for beating any problem is to diagnose it in the first place. Taken outside of a health-related topic, clearly laying out the conditions of your customer’s challenge or problem is always a good first step.
2. Put together some niche information on “why” this is happening, what seems to be the current state of research on the causes for the customer’s challenge or problem.
3. Review different potential solutions and why they may work.
4. Review your case and why it did work in your case.
5. Perhaps interview some others who have had this condition on areas outlined above.
Put all of this together into your own niche information product (could be written, audio, private membership site or combination of all of the above), and you will have mastered the first step of making money within your niche market.
