I watched an e-book business with a simple 1-page sales letter and 35-page e-book outlining 1-single marketing technique sell for $1690 in just a few hours today.

What’s interesting is that this site had some decent results (about $500 in sales) for the first month it was launched, that’s it.
I’m convinced the site could have fetched between $5K-$10K had the seller wanted a longer auction, but it was clearly the seller’s motivation to cash out quickly on this one. No doubt someone will do very nicely with this one except that the technique outlined in the e-book could become outdated and then you are left with almost a nothing business unless you can quickly turn your subscribers and buyers into cross-sells and up-sell products.
Still, this does demonstrate the level of interest in the most basic of information product businesses.
