What does it take to get yourself noticed on the rapidly growing video hosting services such as YouTube or Google Video?

Don’t dismiss this medium, I have videos on YouTube that have achieved several hundred views in the first few days – and am noticing that a fair number of those viewers are making their way to my sites.

Sometimes they visit sites I mention in the video, other times they come in through the “profile” information that you define when you become a member and upload your content. (Hint – don’t forget to write yourself a compelling bio or profile since that is where people will go looking if they really like your stuff)

Over the last year, you can no longer bank on being the ONLY one posting a video in your subject area, now there’s lots of competition, so it’s more important than ever to know how to get noticed on YouTube.
