We all have different reasons for wanting to write a book, it could be:
- Sharing a passion for a hobby or interest (Cooking, sewing, pets, wine, running, a craft, music, etc…)
- Detailing the things you have learned in your career or business (you can produce the ultimate insider’s guide)
- To become an author or publisher replacing your existing job, career or income stream (transition from current job or to augment your income)
- Satisfaction (To see your name on a book or ebook, your love of researching or teaching)
- To help others overcome odds (manage or cure ailments, lose weight, achieve a significant life transformation)
The “WHY” is often the most important part of writing your ebook or book…it’s what fuels your passion, builds momentum, takes you through the days or nights when you may doubt yourself and ultimately ensures you finish writing your ebook so that you can benefit from having it published and selling.
Thought it was worth pointing to a recent example of a mother who decided a book was the best way to inform and share tips, first to her own son and then to society at large, about growing up with Asperger’s Syndrome.
What motivated Robyn Murphy to publish an informative guide on Syndrome (which she is now extending to other titles dealing with conditions across the Autism spectrum) is the desire to have a way to communicate with those dealing Asperger’s which manifests itself in behavioral patterns that often results in behavioral and social interactive difficulties.
On a larger scale, Autism includes many more Spectral Disorders widening the coverage of the topic and information.
While you and your family may have not been directly touched by Asperger’s or ASD, we all do face challenges that range from Health & Wellness to Parenting and from Financial to Personal Development or Personal Fulfillment.
The variety of challenges, rewards and learning that come to us in life is the backdrop upon which we all learn, experience affording us all the potential to write our own ebook, report, or information product.
You have an ebook (most likely several) in you right now…do you have a plan to finally realize your dream and publish your own book or ebook?
