I will be interviewed tomorrow morning for a training session being conducted by Radio Show host Raven Blair Davis on the topic if creating compelling titles for your information products and headlines for your websites and copy that sells.
Some of the tips I will be sharing are…
1. The combination of being SPECIFIC while relating to a generally common desire. So, for instance “5 Steps To Melt Ugly Fat Away In Less Than 30 Days!” is a great headline because it is specific (5 Steps and 30 Days) while touching on a heartfelt desire to easily (MELT) unwanted fat. And finally, there is an emotional aspect to this headline – can you spot it?Â
2. The need to get attention – using action words like Now!, Introducing…, Breakthrough, Just Released, and so on…captures the attention of your prospect so they will then be open to reading more.Â
3. Basic structures of headlines tapping into the desire to improve or increase the level of pleasure in their life (money, social, emotional) OR reduce the negative (pain, frustration, embarassment, etc…)
I will also be talking about how important it is to be targeting the right niche demand inside of the niche market you choose and how to identify the opportunity triggers within any marketplace. These are concepts taken from The Ultimate Information Entrepreneur’s Success Package...to craft winning information product publishing businesses for thousands of our customers.Â
Oh..and while I was digging around on this topic, I came across a great blog posting titled “The Best And Worst Book Titles Of All Time” – with classics like “Pooh Gets Stuck” and “Bombproof Your Horse”…well, it’s just too funny so go over and take a look yourself.
