I’m always amazed when I speak with exhausted business people, freelancers, professionals or unemployed/underemployed people and they can’t see the HUGE potential for creating their own profit center and career that is sitting right under their nose!
I’m talking about something so powerful, so in-demand, so low-risk yet so misunderstood as sharing what you know with other people that can benefit from what you know.
Think about it, demand for information…practical, usable and thorough information is insatiable, it has only increased over time now that we have bigger dreams and less time to accomplish those dreams.
Am I not right when saying we have more…
- stress
- demands
- expectation
- competition
- information available
While we have less…
- time
- attention
- focus
- knowledge
What we reality have is a wider gap between what we want to know (fueled by higher expectation, demand and available information) and our ability to find, organize, process and apply this information to our lives.
CONTENT PRODUCERS SOLVE PROBLEMS AND FILL DESIRES
Do you see the opportunity now?
The gap that we talk about above has created hungry demand for almost any practical information that you can think of…and the more practical, the more tested and the more applicable you make that information – the more money people will pay you!
That’s right, producing content has been my career and you can create your own career based on producing content as well.
Producing content addressing everyday demand and turning that into a career is exactly what is outlined inside The Ultimate Information Entrepreneur’s Success Package used by thousands to create their own careers – even when they had doubts.
Here are just some of the ways you can make money from the content you produce:
1. Content Products...otherwise known as information products. With as little as 6-weeks you can identify, setup, create and launch your own content-based, information publishing business online that can bring you enough profits to quit your current job (or replace previous income). You have many choices here: ebooks, print books, videos, membership sites, newsletters, home study courses, seminars, webinars – at the core, content is what sells.
2. Content To Sell Other People’s Products...here you enter into a series of affiliate partnerships with product vendors related to your niche market. Your content is the magnet that attracts people to your sites and then compels them to click through and buy with your recommendation. You have immense choice in what you promote from digital information products to physical products sourced from places like Amazon, Linkshare, etc…
3. Content Monetized Through Ads...the idea here is that you attract a steady flow of niche traffic to your site and make money by placing contextual ads that relate to your market. You can go with traditional space or text ads, cost-per-click ads like Google Adsense, paid reviews, or even CPA (cost per action) ads where you get paid when a lead takes a specific action from your referral.
BUT WHAT CONTENT DO I PRODUCE?
There are hundreds of thousands of niche markets, desires and topics upon which you can focus.
My only tips here are:
1. Pick one that you see around you…people struggling and already looking for or actively paying for solutions to problems. Search for existing books, courses, ebooks, seminars, etc…that are selling as a guide to what will work here.
2. Identify your desired method of monetizing (earning money from) your content. Will you produce content products or will you produce content for ads or will you primarily derive traffic from your content and convert them into buyers for recommended products?
3. Once you know your primary method of making money in your niche, study the most effective sites and products that are working – learn from them and add your own twist to come up with a unique position in an already lucrative market.
This is where many people miss the mark, either ignoring or under-valuing the knowledge or interests they already have…for example, you may already know something about:
- improving your health or overcoming an illness in some way
- raising an infant
- raising a teen
- getting a promotion
- starting a business
- running a franchise
- training a dog
- customer service
- long-term relationships
- dating
- setting up a blog
- a set of killer recipes
- gluten free diet
- organic gardening
- etc…
If we look hard enough, each one of us either has knowledge or has enough interest and passion to go get the knowledge to create a career producing content…will 2013 be the year you create your own career?
