If belief is all that stands in the way of you writing your own ebook or book, then taking a look around, the revolution in “entrepreneurial authorship” should make a believer out of you and finally help turn your “wishes” and “dreams” into reality.
We had a get together with our family this weekend where we found out our 13-year old nephew entered a short-story writing contest out of a local newspaper and found his short story had been published along with others in our province that had won the contest.
Then there is the local fitness trainer we know well who had finally acted on his dream of writing his own fitness book and just a couple of short months later has his own ebook selling on Kindle and has plans for his next book already well under way.
It seems daily I hear from many of you who share with me your desire to write a book, your initial action toward realizing your goal or your launch plans…often asking for assistance, but after taking substantial initiative.
You even see Mom’s and kids getting in on the action – here’s a great example of a Mom who decided to self-publish an ebook with her kids putting “entrepreneurial authorship” into action, giving her kids the advantage of getting an early start on what is proving to be part of the revolutionary update to the traditional concept of a “job” or “career”.
We all reach a point in our lives where “the rubber meets the road” so to speak. Where we get fed up thinking, wishing and dreaming and finally acquire enough belief or have our backs up against the wall to such an extent that we take action.
Knowing about others that have done the same is typically a big part of the belief factor…”if they can do it then surely I can!”
Or, “If my fellow employee or neighbor is improving his or her lot in life by writing a book, I better can my ass moving or I risk being left behind!”
Whatever your current thought process is, there is no doubt that we entering a golden age of entrepreneurial authorship…I combine those two words on purpose as you cannot be a successful writer in this new era without a strong entrepreneurial effort behind it and you cannot be a strong entrepreneur without knowing how to brand yourself with content as well as releasing knowledge-based products like books, ebooks, training programs, etc…
Like it or not, knowing how to market online, reach your audience, relate to that audience and serve that audience is more important than ever if you want to write a book
Similarly, if you want to be successful in any marketplace, writing a book or serving your audience through information-based products sets you aside from the competition, brands your expertise and allows you to dominate the most lucrative portion of highly competitive markets.
So, take a look around you and notice the massive growth in self-published books on Kindle, Clickbank, Ejunkie…become aware of the growing number of websites and businesses who build profitable businesses from serving their audience with answers to the questions they have the most.
What you will see is a movement that combines the creativity, fulfillment and knowledge associated with sharing experiences and useful information with audiences with masterful understanding of how to market online…reaching markets, attracting their interest, forming lifelong – trusted relationships and giving your audience access to the information and solutions they want most thereby adding tremendous value and creating long-term growth in your own business.
As jobs continue to disappear and the prospect of creating your own businesses and income in their place becomes the new “normal”, “entrepreneurial authorship” is poised to become a major growth engine as part of a revolutionary change in work and career – and that change is happening right now.
Have you thought of writing a book? Do you see others around you finally putting their dream of writing into action? Leave us a comment…hopefully it’s not just us seeing this revolution take shape?
