It happened a few days ago, and today the news seems to be breaking all over the net – one of the largest Internet Marketing training and development companies – Stompernet – sees one of two early founders leaving – cashing out as the story goes.Â
While many people are trying to spin this into something sinister, decipher hidden meanings or look at someone leaving a high-flying internet marketing company as negative – in my mind, exactly the opposite is true.
After all…isn’t this the promise of building a successful business? To be able to cash out, retire early, take your money and build something different, take on new challenges?Â
While I have no more insight into the reasons behind why Andy left his partner Brad Fallon at this time – no more than anyone but his closest friends do – there is something very positive about this for the IM market.
Remember, the internet marketing training and development market is built around helping businesses successfully grow or setup their profit centers on the internet – everyone from the local chiropractor to the biggest Fortune 500 companies can benefit from leading edge internet marketing training and development.Â
We ourselves have trained hundreds of entrepreneurs, professionals, and companies through InfoMarketer’sZone and our Coaching programs to build and grow profits through internet marketing – this is very powerful and real stuff!
It’s terrific to hear stories like this – it means the IM marketplace is maturing – and the only way it matures is if mainstream business (ie not just business opportunity seekers) find the techniques and strategies of major value to their operation.
And they do…so that means great things for all of us who contribute to value for our customers in the internet marketing training and development niche market.Â
When you see companies changing leadership, principles cashing out and moving on to other projects, consolidations…that is the sign of a growing and healthy industry. Â
The same thing happens in Technology – after building a successful technology company, the principles often leave with a bank-account full of cash and go out and start other successful companies spreading their seed of success. I have no doubt that Andy Jenkins will do the same and we will all be better for it.Â
In fact, I hope we see more cashing out, more consolidation, more big deals, more cross-pollination of smart, motivated and wealthy entrepreneurs grow the internet marketing and development segment even bigger. Everyone benefits…so who’s next?
My take anyway, what’s yours?
