  • Ebook writing success tip #1:  They have chosen a proven, in-demand, highly desirable target for their business and book topic.   There is more than 50-years proof that books, ebooks, courses, audio and video packages sell well on the topic of goal setting.  To many, this may be interpreted as a negative instead of a positive – they see this market as saturated or too busy…but that’s simply not the case.  As with weight loss, dieting, personal development, golf, etc…there is ample proof that there is a steady – even growing – demand for more information on these topics.  What about your book writing topic – is there proof of past demand and consumption?
  • Ebooks writing success tip #2: The authors, Steve Bookbinder and Jeff Goldberg have differentiated themselves on not just one, but two criteria – their BIG idea and the format of their book.  First, the BIG idea surrounds approaching goal setting based on getting results rather than just “setting” or constructing goals.  The authors claim this book will guide the reader to goal achievement, not just goal development.  That’s a sweet spot for those who have already purchased dozens of goal setting books and ebooks.  Second, they have written the book in a comic book format – entertaining and certainly different than the normal, dry and often boring goal setting books of the past.

  • Boosting Profits Suggestion #1:  Offer an affiliate partner program – in the area of goal achievement and peak performance training there are already thousands of highly trafficked sites that may be willing to take on introducing this pair’s book for a cut of the profits – even though they may need to give up 40%, they could end up easily upping their sales by a factor of 4-5 times – even as high as 10 if they really went after a partnership recruitment and training program.   One way of establishing a strong affiliate base would be to offer an ebook version of their book and market it through Clickbank where tens of thousands of affiliates seek out products each day.
  • Boosting Profits Suggestion #2: With an improved sales page, the authors could convert additional visitors into customers.  A sales page with stronger emphasis on benefits, the addition of a few testimonials and perhaps a bonus either delivered digitally or by mail would help to improve conversion of visitiors into sales. 
  • Boosting Profits Suggestion #3: Capture the opt-in…Adding a strong offer of a free goal achievement course or goal achievement secret of the month to capture visitor opt-in would allow the authors to build a strong list of prospects interested in their area of expertise allowing them to expose them to their product multiple times with different messages, market additional products and services as well as promote their back-end seminars and workshops would improve their overall profits and secure a strong position in the marketplace for years to come
