With this system open in front of me on my desk, I can let
it slip that there are 3 main things you have to master if
you want to join the big money ebook creators:
1. Find a RED HOT idea. Here are 3 quick ways to find ideas
that will sell:
a) Identify a niche market and look for signs of both keyword
search demand (using a tool like the Overture Keyword
Search Tool) AND evidence that advertisers are paying money
for those search terms by looking at the top 5 bids in
Overture. You want at least .30 – .50 per click being bid
on each of the top 5 bids for your main keywords.
b) Piggy back on an already hot market. Seek out top selling
software (ex. Photo gallery software), electronics (think
iPod or Blackberry), hobbies (scrapbooking, models, etc..)
c) Use the SRDS (Standard Rate and Data Service) guide you
will find in most libraries to help you discover hidden
hot markets with lots of lists and advertising opportunities
2. Let your market TELL YOU what they want You can do this by
“gathering” from hot spots online such as forums, discussion groups,
membership sites, etc… and by “pulling” via surveys.
3. Write for 5-minutes at a time. Answering 4-5 questions everyday
