If you have a product or service or have rights to products or services to sell online then you must be taking advantage of recruiting and empowering your own personal army of affiliates and joint venture partners working to sell your products 24-hours a day, 7-days each week.
More than 50% of our sales come through affiliates – of the thousands of affiliates in our system, about half are active in some way shape or form on a consistent basis, with most of the productivity coming from the top 20%.
We are lucky enough to have some of the biggest names in online marketing as active affiliates – some of these were recruited specifically by me, others found out about us from other affiliate promotions, through our marketing or through purchasing the products and then becoming JV partners.
So how do you attract quality joint venture partners to your business?
Here are the critical factors you will need to form meaningful, lucrative joint ventures for your online business —
1. Have something worth promoting – ultimately as a list owner or webhost I’m always looking for new and truly unique products – unfortunately that makes up less than 5% of all affiliate offers…
2. Make sure your site is professional and converts. You may have the best product in the world, but if your affiliate partner checks out the site and it looks like crap, then he or she is not going to promote.
3. Make it easy for them to promote you. I like promotions where I can send visitors to blog postings, videos, reports leading up to the ultimate promotion.
4. Make sure the offer is worthwhile. Of course it helps if you can offer something especially good for super affiliates – could be higher commission but also think in terms of 1-day lead on promotion, special private website iwth additional information leading up to launch, etc…
As far as finding super affiliates – that just takes plain hard work, you will find them by researching your competition, networking on forums and in person at events, etc…
We have two strong affiliate programs for our products – one that allows resellers to earn half of the profit on our various products aimed at writers, professionals and online marketers who want to create their own products over at:Â InfoProductCreator Affiliate Program and the other for our monthly Membership Site InfoMarketerszone that brings continual, recurring commissions in to our affiliates over at the InfoMarketerszone Affiliate Program
Affiliate love the recurring commissions on continuity programs such as membership sites, recurring billed services, newsletters, etc…
You can attract quality joint venture partners using these techniques – there’s nothing like leverage to help you realize both financial and time freedom!
Hi Jeff,
Another tactic that people seem to overlook is simply to list your affiliate program in the affiliate directories out there.
They are a very solid source of good affiliates.
Thanks
