Less time, more competition, time to market advantage, heightened “noise” in the marketplace – all of these factors make “leverage” internet business models more attractive.
Setup an internet business based on selling someone else’s products or services – you have an un-leveraged model where business is entirely based on your effort
Setup an online business based around content that will pay you again and again – where you work once and sell forever (ebooks, reports, courses, infoproducts) such as an info product publishing model and you are using a “leverage” model
Another example of leverage…this time on the marketing side.
Selling your ebook or info product from your own website direct (not with partners) means you must put effort each day into generating traffic, BUT build out a leveraged affiliate model and you work once to create a system for supporting hundreds or thousands of partners and you have built yourself a “leveraged” model where your partners are incented to send you traffic each day.
Once this gets moving, you work each day on improving the support of your partner base and that gets leveraged by factors of 100X or more across your partner base.
Issue a new video to help market your product, instead of just you releasing that video, imagine it going out to Millions of eyeballs across hundreds of partners and now you get a sense for how powerful the leverage model really is.
