Opportunity continues to skyrocket for selling and making money from your own internet business. Regardless of whether you are looking to replace your full-time income or begin by earning some extra money to help buy those extra’s each month, you will need to find a niche market for your internet business.

What do we mean by niche market?

To start a business you need a group of people that collectively want something bad enough that they will spend money to buy.

It could be dog owners who are frustrated by their dog’s constant barking, jumping or wildness so they seek dog training assistance.

It could be those people who are each day diagnosed with a yeast infection and must seek out remedies to overcome the pain associated with this condition.

Or…it could be a group of stressed out, middle-aged men who suddenly are faced with stress-related conditions such as anxiety attacks, depression or other health challenges and who now desparately seek out stress relief alternatives.

Inside Information Marketer’sZone we outline a complete system for taking market opportunties like these and turning them quickly into your own money-making information products – ebooks, books, training courses that will earn you quick and ongoing profits as you grow your internet business.

IMPORTANT — NICHE MARKET FINDING TIPS

There is no one way to find a niche, I have 12 different products across 4 different niches and each time I pick a niche or topic within the niche it happens a little differently.

However, there are some MUSTS:

1. You must test that niche for proven flow of money around the product, service or monetization method you are considering.  For example, if you want to market infoproducts, then you need to see evidence of buying activtiy around your niche.  If you you want to market affiliate products, then you need to validate that there are some successful products to promote, etc…

2. You must find a way to cost-effecticely target that market online.  I don’t worry about this one as much, I have yet to find a market that has huge opportunity where there isn’t a way to cost effectively target the market, but sometimes it takes some serious out-of-the-box thinking.

3. I do like to have an interest, knowledge base or passion around the niche.  It doesn’t mean I need to be an expert or have experience – but I don’t tackle markets where I can’t get excited about it.  The main reason is that it takes effort to get initial traffic to your sites which means content development and an understanding of what motivates your market to buy…without an interest it makes it much tougher.

All of that said, you may find your niche by

a) Brainstorming a list of ideas and then testing for buying activity
b) Searching product directories like Clickbank, CJ, Linkshare, Amazon, magazines.com, bookstores, etc… where you let proven selling products trigger your ideas
c) Begin on the demand side by looking at keyword searches and then testing those for related products and buying activity

To me, the least effective method is c) – instead I find it much more effective to start with your passions or a list of proven top selling products and then work backwards to fulfill unmet needs within those proven niche markets.
