A CHANCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Its not very often in today's society you get the feeling
that you can really make a difference.
That time is here, with the latest tragedy in the Southern
US.
Its only now becoming evident the scope of this disaster,
please dig in and give anything you can for the sake of
our brothers and sisters.
We've made our contribution to the Red Cross, I hope you
will do the same to the organization of your choice.
We truly believe that helping others always comes back
in the end.
IT'S NOT ABOUT THE WRITING
Starting and building your very own information publishing
business is an exciting, fun, fulfilling and yes, lucrative
way to escape your current career and life situation.
I'm living proof of that fact.
After spending years working for and contracting to large
and small businesses, being payed a solid six-figure income,
enjoying that nice corner office with a rubber plant in the
corner - I finally snapped and decided its time I called
the shots myself.
Of course, you have various business models to consider
should you decide your time has finally come.
There are franchises, start-ups, network marketing,
affiliate marketing, online marketing portals and Adsense
type sites, etc....
These can all be quite successful, however there is one
BIG concern with all of these models - control of your
business ultimately lies in someone else's hands.
The franchisor could go out of business. The network
marketing company could fall into legal trouble. Your
affiliate products could be pulled from the market or
given away. Google could make a single change tomorrow
that would virtually erase your business.
That's why creating and marketing your own content-based
information products is becoming such an important and
desired business.
Trouble is, not everyone likes to write. When you think
about information publishing you immediately think about books.
As you will hear from some of the biggest names in infoproduct

Fact is, there are multiple other models open to you:
1. Audio recordings - either dictated or interviews

over the phone
Even in the case of written products - your main goal as an
information publisher is to define a niche demand and design
an outline for feeding that niche demand.

Understanding the information product publishing business is
half the battle - you are not a writer, but an information
broker.
Your value is in identifying and responding to information "gaps"
in the marketplace.

GETTING YOUR MESSAGE THROUGH TO YOUR LIST
There is no question, getting your email marketing through
to (and read by) your subscribers is getting tougher and
tougher.
You can certainly take some actions to improve your delivery
rates - here are a few:
1. Ask your subscriber to "approve" your email address on your
signup Thank You Page. Many people are using spam blocking
services today such as Spam Arrest, many of these work based
on default block rules with exception lists. You want to be
on the exception list so your future emails get through.
2. Test your message on the spam scale - there are a few tools
out there you can use to test your messages for words that
will trigger the filters. There is a no charge spam

3. Start offering an online option for automated response
sequences. If you offer an e-course, minicourse or email mini
course, I am a huge fan of using the format recommended by Jimmy
D Brown over at:
http://www.create-e-mini-course.com
Instead of offering an email only version of the e-course,
create a webpage for each lesson and offer a link to each
lesson on your signup thank you page.
Let those people who really want your material to read it
immediately, rather than having them wait for 2-days within
emails. I've recently moved to this approach, and my results
so far are very good - not to mention that it cut the
number of emails starting with "I didn't get part 4 and 5...
could you please resend?"
TRUMP'S SOLUTION TO SOLVING THE GAS CRISIS
What are your thoughts on the gas crisis?
I know up here in Canada gas has gone from .80/litre
up to $1.20/litre creating a TON of fury, backlash and
grumbling.

it also demonstrates the mindset of the wealthy 5% of the

points of view - that makes you stand out.
