Should You Sell Resell Rights Products?
As an information entrepreneur building your brand, product
portfolio and value in your business, I often get asked,
should I invest in and market resell rights products?
Here is my short answer...
Yes...IF
1) You have already established a brand and following
2) The resell rights product is a quality product that
fits a gap you know your market wants filled
3) You have a personal story to tell about the resell
rights product or system
Too many people jump into online marketing by investing hundreds
of dollars in resell rights products, only to find that they
cannot afford the cost of generating traffic coupled with very
low conversion rates due to competition and the cold nature of
traffic.
It's a typical formula for failure.
In 4-years experience online, I have only purchased resell
rights to two products - both fit very well into gaps I knew
existed in the market AND they were well above average in
quality.
Resell rights products can definitely add another stream of
revenue for you - to increase your chance of success, use it
AFTER you have established your market.

Collect Email Addresses Or Make Sales?
Its true, even with the reduced delivery rate of emails these
days, the power is still in "the list".
You may have heard a term called "Namesqueeze" used by various
high profile marketers.
I first heard it labelled by internet marketing pioneer Jonathan
Mizel.
What does it mean?
The namesqueeze or forced opt-in, is a method of designing your
minisite such that the landing page, or first page your prospect
arrives at is a short sales letter designed to exchange a freebie
for your prospect's email address.
Once they enter their address, and ONLY once they enter their
address, do you let them into your full minisite.
Here's an example I use:

I send prospects drawn from joint ventures, pay-per-click,
forums and any other new prospects to this site.
Upon registering at this namesqueeze site, the prospect is instantly
taken to http://www.infoproductcreator.com to see the full product
sales letter.
Using this technique can increase your list signup rate from below
10% to well over 30% - I've even seen peaks above 50%.
The idea is that only those that will signup for your course, or
freebie are serious enough to apply additional marketing effort
to - from my results this is largely a true concept.
A hybrid approach is to combine both on one page - highlighting
the signup section while still marketing your products and websites
on the page.

So - do consider the Namesqueeze approach. Test it out - perhaps even
performing some split testing using one of the many split testing
scripts out there to see the impact on your sales.

What Will Your Legacy Be?
Have you thought about what you will leave behind when you leave
this world?
A big one is the kids you raise, the friends you help and keep,
and those strangers you help through charitable donations of
money or time.
There's another way you can leave a legacy that goes well
beyond what most people will ever be able to achieve.
Help others through your own successful information product
business.
Think about it - if you sell a few thousand copies of an ebook,
book, or educational course that helps those people - you will
have made an impact far beyond what the average person would
be able to make.
Your primary goal for your information product business is
likely to be financial, and probably is aimed at short term
goals like buying something new, replacing your current job.
It is VERY important that you have such goals.
Try adding a goal that clearly states your intent to leave
a legacy?
Try wording such as "I will dramatically improve the lives of
10,000 people within 5-years with my information product
business."
You can even get more specific in how you will improve their
lives if you have a specific market and product underway.
Making a difference is a very powerful motivator for most of us,
so set your goal, and re-visit it as part of your daily reflection
on your goals.
