And A Salesperson?

People often ask me, "what skills are important to become
a successful online entrepreneur?"
You could argue that patience, enthusiasm, focus, web
development, tenacity are all essential to hitting the
big time.
Not the right answer though.
The ultimate prize in any market goes to the individual or
business that is viewed as the EXPERT in a particular field.
This is especially true of online entrepreneurs as they fight
the competition and lack of contact built into online business.
Ask any real estate agent in the top 2% of sellers, they do
far less selling and far more effort into "branding" themselves
as experts.
Every business person's dream is to have customers drawn to
you, not having to pound doors, make cold calls or spend 14-hours
a day to convince your customers to buy from you.
As an online entrepreneur, you want to attract traffic to your
sites - pre-qualified traffic that already thinks of you as an
expert.
Trust me, I have experienced both ways of doing business online.
Chasing customers is much like your dog chasing it's tail. The
faster you chase them, the faster they run away.
Online entrepreneur's that operate in this sort of environment
ususally make bad decisions and soon lose any momentum they may
start out building.
Similarly, the magnetic pull of earning EXPERT status is beyond
anything you ever thought possible.
Not only do more customers seek you out, but more important,
more joint venture partners, power brokers and marketers seek you
out within your industry.
Suddenly, exposing you to the world becomes important for their
business!
All of this means rapid, and unstoppable growth.
The single biggest obstacle for the online entrepreneur is your
visitor holding enough TRUST in your ability to deliver what they
want - as an expert, you immediately remove that objection.
So how do you become an expert?
3 Methods of Becoming An Expert In Your Field
1. Write a book and publish it. Think about it. You sell
a financial service. What if you were to publish a book on some
aspect of the financial market. A book you can send to your
customers, show others online, self-publish and market into
bookstores, turn into a course or seminar.
There is no single method that can match the power of having
written your own high-powered, professional looking information

2. Create Your Own Technology. Experts in a field solve people's
most pressing problems and desires. But more than that, they
"brand" their method of solving the problem. You need to differentiate

3. You Focus On Your Area Of Specialization. It frustrates me to no
end - online entrepreneurs today are creating hundreds of websites
using tools to chase 100's of different niche markets hoping to make
short-term money before anyone figures out the entire site is fabricated
and is useless!
This is the OPPPOSITE to becoming an expert and will
catch up with them in the end. You need to dedicate yourself to
a market, continue to build solutions, advance your "brand" and
perhaps even expand that market to much more than it previously
was. Only this model will allow you to increasingly demand more
return for your investment (time and knowledge) over time.
By setting out to become an EXPERT in your market, over time you will
put in less effort for far more return - but only IF you put in
the time, effort, smarts and focus to achieve expert status first.

There are a few hard and fast requirements all online
businesses have for webhosts, regardless of their business,
however there are certain things you should be looking
for as an infoproduct marketer:
1. Reliability and Support: Suddenly you are no longer
hosting a hobby or personal site, you are hosting a business
site that will get hits 24-hours a day 7-days a week.
You will lose business if you deal with a webhost that does
not maintain an extremely high percentage uptime or fails
to respond quickly to issues that come up.
2. Unlimited sub-domains: Even if you are entirely focused
on your first infoproduct, you will soon want the ability
to host additional products - whether your own, affiliate
products or resell rights products. You should be able to
add as many sub-domains you want as your business grows.
3. Simple password protection for directories. You need
to be able to easily password protect directories where
you will store your secure download ebooks and other
digital products
4. Statistics. Not always possible, but you want a webhost
that can provide separate statistics by sub-domain so you
can track daily unique visits, who is referring leads to
your website, your top entry and exit pages, etc...

** Creating Viral Branded eBooks
I have been getting many questions about tools to use

your affiliates or jv partners to change the links
themselves to their affiliate links.
